Our Story

A pooch, a vision, and a dream to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle with happiness at the centre of everything that we do.

It all started with a mother and daughter team taking a journey to Battersea Dogs and Cats home in April 2015. Little did we know that our lives were about to change.

Wandering through the corridors and seeing so many dogs without a home had an emotional impact. Before we knew it we were being introduced to Jerry, a four-year-old fluffy, excitable male Bichon Frise, who just so happened to be one of the few pooches that wasn’t being advertised on the website. It was as though fate kicked in, and from that point everything happened so quickly.

It was love at first sight, an instant rush of positive energy beamed through our hearts and we knew then, Jerry was coming home with us.

Once our ‘fluffball’ had settled in, the next step on our agenda was to give him a name that suited his regal nature. Prince Jerry was perfect and he certainly lives up to his name.

Over time we noticed the positive impact that Prince Jerry had on our wellbeing. Our home was injected with love, warmth, and happiness. He made life better just by being present.

Prince Jerry was and continues to be like a breath of fresh air, whether it was the long walks in nature, interacting with other dog owners and the unconditional love we received from Prince Jerry, life simply became a whole lot better for our family.

After being asked to walk a beautiful grey coat Shar-pei, ‘The Secret Pooch Garden’ began its journey in February 2016. Happy childhood memories of pets and looking after friends and family pooches led to the realisation that being surrounded with man’s (and woman’s) best friend was a calling and a passion that could no longer be denied. This leads us to where we are now.
